The Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce The Southwest Georgia Tinsel Trail! The Southwest Georgia Tinsel Trail will be a festive display of live Christmas trees at the Earle May Boat Basin in Bainbridge, Georgia. Intended to promote the spirit of Christmas and community involvement, each tree is sponsored and decorated by a local corporation, group, or family.
This will be the Chamber’s first year in presenting the Tinsel Trail, but they are hoping to liven up the Christmas spirit with this new, fun addition to the Boat Basin.
In order to sign up and sponsor a tree, individuals, businesses or families can visit the sponsor a tree page and view details about the two options offered.
The tree sponsor price is $200 for the regular 6-7 ft. tree or $500 for a 10 ft. flagship tree. Each tree will have a sign with the sponsor and decorator’s names. Trees are encouraged to have themes that match the company’s mission or be completely unique from all the rest.
For those who want to support the initiative, but are uninterested in decorating a tree, the Chamber has said to let them know and they will donate the tree to a worthy nonprofit organization.
The registration deadline will be September 18, 2020.
The decorated trees will officially light up on Saturday, November 28, for the Thanksgiving holiday and last through January 5, 2021.
The trail will be open to everyone and be a community event open daily from dusk until midnight.
