Connor Rentz is one of six grad students chosen this year for the University Film and Video Association Graduate Student Fellowship. The UFVA Graduate Student Fellowship provides financial support for students attending the annual UFVA conference. The fellowship also provides professional development opportunities for current graduate students working in the areas of media, film, and production studies.
University Film and Video Association (UFVA) is an international organization where media production and writing meet history, theory and criticism. UFVA members are makers and artists, teachers and students, archivists and distributors, college departments, libraries, and manufacturers. UFVA holds an annual conference and publishes the Journal of Film and Video, a periodical featuring articles on media production, history, theory, aesthetics and criticism. UFVA is one of the premier U.S. academic organizations dedicated to the study of media. The conference is July 27-30, 2020 and will be a virtual event this year.
Rentz graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2019 and is currently a graduate student at Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, VT.
