Monday morning a group of energetic kids met at James Robinson’s Taekwondo studio for the first day of summer camp.
Camp leader and studio owner James Robinson is focusing on teaching campers Taekwondo basics while allocating time for fun activities such as nerf gun wars throughout the camp day.
“I thought they were going to be groggy this morning,” said Robinson, “but they are here ready to go.”
Robinson starts the camp day off at 8 a.m. with time for free play, then he leads the kids in a Taekwondo session.
Camper Charleigh Bramlett is one of the older and more experienced campers, and helps Robinson lead the group of kids when he needs assistance.
“I’m most looking forward to hanging out with everyone,” said Bramlett.
Although Bramlett is the only girl in the group of campers, she doesn’t mind spending time with the boys.
Laser tag, dodgeball, arts and crafts and an end-of-the-week pizza party are some of the activities that Robinson’s campers get to look forward to for the rest of the week.
