Jeru “Judy” Wilson was born to Sam and Ella Sandlin on April 28, 1940 in Bainbridge, Ga. She was the third of six children. She was married to Bryan Wilson for 30 years until his death in 2007. She is survived by her daughter Sherri Starling (Steve) of Lawtey, Fla., grandson Britton McClung of Lawtey, FL, granddaughter Breann Spencer (Derrick) of Jacksonville, FL and her five siblings, Marjorie Jones of Brinson, Ga., Ferris Sandlin of Brinson, Elsie Seymour of Bainbridge, Ga., David Sandlin of Bainbridge, and Dorothy Brown of Bainbridge. She was preceded in death by her mother, and father and husband.
Judy was employed with the Decatur County School system for twenty-one years where she drove a school bus and was a bus aide. If you were blessed enough to call Judy a friend, then you were blessed enough. She was fiercely loyal and plain spoken. If she saw you in town by the time you parted ways she would have given you two out of three things, if not all three, a compliment, a laugh and a hug. She will be greatly missed!
