Teresa Ann Odom was born February 25, 1965 in Atlanta, Ga., the daughter of Starling and Josephine Brockett Odom. She was a licensed cosmetologist. Teresa married Chris Jordan in 1995 and they made their home in Bainbridge. She was a member of The Potter’s House.

Teresa’s life revolved around family. Her favorite activity was spoiling her children and grandchildren. She loved saltwater taffy, trips to the mountains, and talking on the telephone. Teresa was a terrific cook and rarely found a recipe for a baked good she didn’t conquer. Those that knew her well know she said what was on her mind and loved big.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Chris Jordan; her children, Celisa & Buddy Read of Iron City, Ga., Mandi Jordan Purvis, Christopher Ryan Jordan, and Destiny Grijalva, all of Bainbridge; her mother, Josephine Odom; her sisters, Martha Avery and Patsy Rentz, both of Bainbridge, Ga., and Alicia Cone of Attapulgus, Ga.; her grandchildren, Hunter, Rachelle, and Jaxon; and many nieces and nephews. Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Starling Odom; and her brother, Ladon Odom.
