Frances Elizabeth Andrews was born July 22, 1928 in Thomasville, Ga., the daughter of Ambrose and Della Leonard Andrews. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School. Elizabeth worked as an administrative assistant in real estate and was Baptist by faith.
Though she spent many years in Chiefland, Elizabeth never forgot her South Georgia roots. She enjoyed being home and loved being the lady of her home, which she considered a mansion. She was organized and did not mind helping you stay organized. Being set in her ways was simply a result of her headstrong personality and kept things headed in the right direction by her standards.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Ann Key of Bainbridge, , Joe Lane of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Anna Margaret Perry of Olive Branch, MS, and Clarke Andrews of Saltilla, MS. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, William David Cowart, Jr.; and her two brothers.
