Stanley Tony Sellers was born November 7, 1950 in Bainbridge, Ga., the son of William and Christine Gainous Sellars. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1969. Stanley proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He married Vickie Griner and they made their home in Bainbridge. Stanley was Baptist by faith.

Stanley was the perfect portrait of a truck driver. He was big & burly, loved John Wayne and big trucks. He could drive anything and would drive anywhere. He followed this dream, balancing a life on the road with the family he adored at home. Those that knew him knew the typical truck driver persona didn’t fit, though he could hold his own if necessary. Stanley was really a big teddy bear and child at heart. He loved all children and took every opportunity to brag on his own girls and grands.

Survivors include his wife of almost 50 years, Vickie Griner Sellers; his children, Shannon Sellers Giannars of Blakely, Ga. and Mandy & Chris Dukes of Bainbridge ; his siblings, Joyce Baskin of Largo, Fl., Deborah & Bob Velez-Rivera of Climax, Ga., and Greg & Lynda Sellars of Bainbridge; his grandchildren, Wil & Carlye, Cecily, Emily, Kale and Kaleb; and his great-grandchildren, Shanley, Emerie Kate and Landon.  In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his siblings, Randall Sellars and Brenda Faye Sellars; and his faithful companion and best dog ever, Radar.
