Cecil Roger Stinson, age 76, of Iron City, Ga. passed away Monday, March 2, 2020 at Southeast Health in Dothan, Ala.
Funeral services for Mr. Stinson will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. David Williams and Herman Brookins officiating. Interment will follow in New Enterprise Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Glynn Jones, Carroll Jones, Michael Powell, Mac Harrison, Shannon Phillips and Doyle Carroll serving as casketbearers. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, March 5, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
Mr. Stinson was born in Bainbridge, Ga. on November 13, 1943 to Ralph and Odester “Deck” King Stinson. He was a supervisor at AMACO and a member of New Enterprise Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Stinson loved fishing, farming, gardening, his flowerbeds, wood working and watching the Atlanta Braves and college football.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Tondra Albritton of Bainbridge and Cecily Phillips (Thomas Dilmore) of Iron City; and his grandchildren, Constance Barrineau (Scott), Whitney Albritton, Cecil “Shane” Phillips, and Joshua “Blake” Phillips; as well as his great-grandson, Triston Barrineau.
Mr. Stinson was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Odester “Deck” King Stinson; his wife, Wanda Gail Askew Stinson; and his sisters, Lillian Easterwood and Elise Cocker.
