BHS track and field competes in first meet

The Bainbridge Track and Field team opened the 2020 season last Saturday and the Jesse Forbes Invitational in Tallahassee, where the Lady Cats finished 12th and the Bearcats took 13th place out of 32 teams.
Nya Blocker took the gold medal for finishing first in the 400-meter dash, competing against 49 other girls in the event and finishing with a time of 58.80. Blocker also took third place in the long jump event with a leap of 15-feet-11-inches.
Other participants that earned points for the lady cats were Treasure Jenkins, Chynae Palmer, Sariyah Porter and Sanaya Davis. Performers that earned points for the Bearcats were Jaylyn Peterson, Stokes Moore, Joshua Thomas, Jordon Brown, Trevon Campbell and Vick Wimberly.
Next Saturday, Bainbridge will host the Larry Clark Invitational at the BHS track. Currently, 16 schools have registered to compete, including:
