Wallace “Murray” Worsham, 78, of Thomasville, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at Whiddon Shiver Funeral Home on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Helen Kirbo, Leon Pate & Charles Stripling officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Mason Worsham, Chason Worsham, Lane Worsham, Chris Worsham, Jimmy Harris and Steve Catchings. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Catchings and Luke Catchings.
Mr. Worsham was born on May 16, 1941 to the late Wallace Ervin Worsham & Elsie Elizabeth “Hat” Lofton Worsham in Camilla, Ga.. He married Nell Lane Worsham on May 27, 1986 in Camilla. He earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Nova University and worked as a Teacher & Coach for Mitchell-Baker High School, Westwood Academy & Ravenwood Academy. He was an Aquatics Director as well as the City of Camilla Recreation Director. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Bainbridge.
Survivors include, his wife, Nell L. Worsham of Thomasville; children, Ross Murray Worsham (Donna) of Camilla, Kelly Worsham Catchings (Steve) of Montgomery, Ala., Kelly Lane Abbott (Heather) of Thomasville, Brooke Elizabeth Poitevint (Preston) of Bainbridge, Ga.; grandchildren, Mason Dean Worsham, Zachery Chason Worsham, Jack Archer Catchings, Luke Stephen Catchings; brothers, Danny Worsham of Bridgeboro, Ga. and Dale Worsham of Moultrie, Ga., and his faithful companion Tori.
