Martha Pearl Lee was born April 18, 1929 in Grady County, Ga., the daughter of Alvie and Effie Rehberg Lee. She was a graduate of Cairo High School, Class of 1947. She married Buryl H. Harrison in 1948 and they made their home in Climax. “Miss” Martha was a member of Climax United Methodist Church.

For years, “Miss” Martha took care of her customers at Bainbridge Pharmacy, treating them like her own family. Those customers recognized a strong work ethic developed through the years working tobacco on the farm. Even though “Miss” Martha wasn’t afraid to get dirty, she maintained a beautiful complexion and hair without a strand out of place. She believed family came first and spent her life caring for those she loved. Her sweet and gentle spirit made you feel like you were one of her own.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Buryl H. Harrison; her children, Elaine & Winston Moore and Keith & Cheryl Harrison, all of Climax; her sister, Maurice Connell of Reno, Ga.; her grandchildren, Christy & Elliot Marsh and Billy Moore; and her great-grandchildren, Adison, Annalee and Cole. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her siblings, Elmira Jane Maxwell and Burma Connell.
