Bainbridge Service Club donates books
The Babies Can’t Wait committee of the Bainbridge Service Club recently made a donation of approximately 100 children’s board books to Rhonda Calhoun, Director of Babies Can’t Wait.
It is a project that works with children zero to age three who are developmentally delayed in an effort to better prepare them to start school. Calhoun regularly visits the homes of these children and works with the caregivers to help them understand the importance of introducing young children to books and reading at the earliest age.
Many Service Club members are educators, both retired and active. They thoroughly enjoyed selecting the books for selective ages.
