Rosa Wynelle Smith was born June 26, 1929, in Miller County, Ga., the daughter of Andrew Relliford Smith and Rosa Lee Corley Smith. She graduated Class of 1946, from West Bainbridge High School. She worked as a switchboard operator for Southern Bell for many years. She married Cecil Cutts on September 18, 1946, and they celebrated over 40 years of marriage until his passing in 1992.
Wynelle was a very gentle and loving woman but had the ability to “put her foot down” and hold order when needed. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild. She always had a place for them to sleep and often insisted on them staying with her. Wynelle had a knack for crocheting and could decorate the best birthday and wedding cakes you could possibly imagine.
Survivors include her children, Jerry & Dianna Cutts of Georgetown, Texs, Jessie Cutts of Dothan, Ala., Henry & Patty Cutts of Bainbridge, and Ricky & Denise Cutts of Savannah, Ga.; her siblings, C.M. Smith of Bainbridge, and Susie McCroan also of Bainbridge; her 9 grandchildren; her 14 great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Wynelle was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Cecil Cutts; her son, Billy Cutts; and her brother, Robert Smith.
