Judith Martin Duke
February 6, 2020
Judith Martin Duke left this life for her great adventure on Thursday, February 6th, 2020, surrounded by her family, friends, and cats.
She loved books, babies, cats, and yard sales BUT believed kitchens and cooking were highly unnecessary. Judith retired from the USPS as a rural carrier. She was an author, avid reader, mother, and one cat short of crazy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vance Duke; son, Kyle RJ Duke; and grandson, Shaun Macy Duke.
She is survived by her children, Camille Mueller, Michael & Jo Duke, Colin & Amy Duke, Sheila & Derek McCrea, Amy Katherine Duke; and her grandchildren, Tristan, Caleb & Savannah, Mason, Gregory, Garrison, Devin & Tatiana, and Jeffrey; her special nephew, Edwin Duke; and her cats, Sammie and Henry. She also leaves behind her extra special friends, Gloria Thomas, Connie Gainous, Catherine Olivent, and Mary Burton Dean.
Judith requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Faceville United Methodist Church, C/O Catherine Olivent, 3153 Faceville Hwy, Bainbridge, GA 39819 or the Decatur County Humane Society, 1250 Cox Avenue, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
A memorial service will be held at Faceville Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 8th. Interment will be at Green Shade Cemetery beside her husband and son.
