The Bainbridge Decatur County Recreation Authority held its annual Jingle Bell Jog and Toy Drive on December 23. The event consisted of a one mile run for participants under the age of 12 and a 5k for those who were 13 and older. Both runs routed through Lights Along The River. Joey Lee with The West Haven was on site to collect gift donations from participants. These donations were used to benefit foster and underprivileged children in our local area. Miss Decatur County, Jacey Cox, was present as well to help give out awards. The Bainbridge Decatur County Recreation Authority would like to thank Crystal Hines and other staff members with the City of Bainbridge for preparing Lights Along The River by making sure the route was clean and free of debris. They would also like to thank each runner for their participation and their donations to The West Haven. The run is growing each year and they hope to see even more participation next year.
