Southwest Georgia Farm Credit, Decatur County Schools, Bainbridge High School Key Club, and 5 Points Dry Cleaners are teaming up to hold a coat and blanket drive to help those in need this winter.
Area residents are invited to make a difference in our local community by donating to the coat drive and “share the warmth” with those in need.
“Bainbridge is a wonderful community to work and play and raise a family in,” said Tommie Harper, Key Club Advisor at Bainbridge High School. “And when we can, it’s important that we take care of those in need. I’m very hopeful that you’ll take a few minutes to look through your closet and donate something you haven’t worn in a while. It will mean a lot to someone in need.”
Gently used and new blankets, coats, scarves, and winter hats can be dropped off at Southwest Georgia Farm Credit, Decatur County Schools or Grace Christian Academy in Bainbridge, through Friday, December 13th.
“We’re excited to partner with Decatur County Schools, Bainbridge High School Key Club and their students to put on this coat drive,” said Jared Renfroe, Capital Markets Officer at Southwest Georgia Farm Credit. “It’s always wonderful seeing children work together to help others who are in need.”
Special thanks to our long-time blanket and coat drive partner, 5 Points Dry Cleaners, for cleaning all the gently used items.
