Alena Sutton

Mrs. Sutton was born March 5, 1928 to Charlie and Henrietta Williams Howard in

Iron City, Georgia.  Funeral services for Mrs. Sutton will be Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11 a.m. Services will be officiated by Pastor John Wooden at St. Paul MB Church on Highway 84 East. Viewing will be Friday, November 8, 2019 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Bruton Mortuary.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Joseph Allen, Sr. of Sunrise, Florida; Gertrude (Charlie) Thompson of Lithonia, Georgia; Thomas “Eddie” (Alesia) Brinson, Sr. of Bainbridge, Georgia; and Sharon Sutton of Macon, Georgia. A stepson, Elijah (Ruby) Sutton of Chattahoochee, Florida; and a great nephew she helped to raise, Charlie James (Angie) Howard of Macon, Ga.

Her legacy continues with 10 grandchildren: Kristina Brinson; Faye (Eugene) Bryant; Kia Allen; Brian (Nakia) Thompson; Thomas Edward (Dionne) Brinson, Jr.; Tawanna Washington; Valorie Brinson; Chris (Nikki) Thompson; Krystal Brinson; Joseph Allen, Jr; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sutton was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Chester Brinson, and Walter Lee Sutton; her daughter Elmarie Brinson, and sons Willie Brinson and Bruce Washington.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bruton Mortuary.
