Spring Creek Charter Academy announced the resignation of Dr. Yoli Curry as principal on Thursday.
Linda Miller, who is currently the principal of Spring Creek’s flagship campus, Pataula Charter Academy, will take the place of Curry.
The school said in a statement to parents that Dr. Curry was “a tremendous asset in helping open Spring Creek Charter Academy” and that they “wish her luck in her next endeavors.” However, they are excited to be under the new direction of Miller.
Miller has been described as a remarkable educator and experienced leader. She is in her third year as K-12 principal at PCA. Before becoming principal at PCA, Miller served as middle school principal and interim high school principal at Miller County schools. She has spent 28 years in the education field. Throughout her career, Miller has gained experience in all levels of education and has served a variety of roles. She has been a teacher, graduation coach, instructional coach and school administrator.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in health and physical education from Georgia Southern University and a Master’s Degree in educational leadership from Albany State University.
Miller is currently a Bainbridge resident and has said she looks forward to serving families in her own community.
Miller will begin her position with the school on Monday, and the school is confident the transition will be seamless. Miller is familiar with the school model and has worked with assistant principal, David Kirkland at PCA and in Miller County, prior to his move. Teachers have added a workday as well to make sure everyone is comfortable with the transition and that their needs are assisted by the new faculty.
