Bearcat X-C competes at region tournament in Warner Robins

Multiple Bainbridge cross-country runners put up outstanding results at the Region 1-AAAAA championship Thursday in Warner Robins.

Stokes Moore once again led the way for the Bainbridge Bearcats in the varsity boys race with a 5K time of 17:39, claiming second place overall.

Four Bearcats hit the sub 20-minute mark in the race, with Landon Watts clocking in at 19:07, Jared Davis finishing at 19:25, Kendall Glover coming in at 19:33 and Aiden Matthews clocking in at 19:48.

Andru Matthews came through at 20:23 and Tom Emmons finished at 20:35, setting the Bearcats up with all sub 21-minute performances.

Veterans took first place in the championship, followed by Harris County at second, Thomas County Central at third, Bainbridge at fourth and the home team Warner Robins at fifth.

In the girls varsity 5K race, Rylan Bland hit a time of 24:04 to lead the Lady Cats and take 11th place.

Raidyn Oliver clocked in at 27:39, Katelyn Miller came through at 33:54, Sara Matthew finished at 33:54, Kayla Braswell came in at 35:12 and Olevia Diaz clocked in at 37:44.

Veterans finished first place for the girls varsity, followed by Thomas County Central in second, Warner Robins in third, Harris County in fourth and Bainbridge in fifth.
