Cathy Rose McCullough was born February 18, 1956 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Thomas Elmer McCullough and Jan Hogard McCullough. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and worked as a shipping clerk at Shaw Industries until her retirement. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church.

Cathy’s “loud & proud” demeanor drew attention wherever she was. It was obvious she was outgoing, supportive and stubborn. She would sacrifice for others and found joy in doing for others. Cathy loved music, especially Bob Seger and the Bee Gees. She had a soft spot for animals, which attracted every stray in the neighborhood. Cathy was quite the jokester with a dose of sarcasm thrown in for good measure. Her boys shared one thing that was no joke: she was a horrible driver. Cathy never dreamed she would love anyone as much as she loved her boys, and then along came the grandchildren. She beamed with pride at every opportunity to share a story or a photo of her loves.

Survivors include her children, Brian & Amanda Boyett and Corey & Haley McMickle, all of Bainbridge, Ga.; her mother, Jan McCullough of Thomasville, Ga.; her siblings, Robert & Betty McCullough of Attapulgus, Ga. and Felicia & Sam Pickenpaugh of Thomasville, Ga.; and her grandchildren, Hunter, Conner, Brayden, Caleb, Brynlee and Brody. Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Elmer McCullough; and her brother, Tommy McCullough.
