Lady Cats lose to walk off against Harris county

A walk-off left Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity on the wrong end of a 3-1 defeat to Harris County on Thursday.

The loss puts Bainbridge at 4-11 on the season.

The game was tied at one with Harris County batting in the bottom of the seventh when Kaley Dowdy homered on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Harris County pitchers struck out 12, while Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity sat down 12.

Zoe Willis led things off in the circle for Harris County. She went seven innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out 12.

Lexie Delbrey started the game for Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity. She went six and a third innings, allowing three runs on two hits and striking out 12.

Halle Cannon and Anna-Beth Bibby all had one hit to lead Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity.

Harris County was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Gracie Williams had the most chances in the field with 13.
