Bank OZK contributes $55,000 to Memorial Hospital and Manor

Bank OZK, has made a $55,000 contribution to Memorial Hospital and Manor in Bainbridge, Georgia. In 2019, Bank OZK contributed $50,000 to Memorial.
“Bank OZK recognizes the value Memorial Hospital and Manor provides to our community. Providing our residents access to quality care close to home allows us to attract and retain businesses in Bainbridge and Decatur County, and the hospital itself is a significant employer of quality jobs,” stated Frank Posey, President of the South Georgia/Alabama/South Carolina Division at Bank OZK.
Posey added, “As a bank with strong roots to the community, we understand the importance of neighbors serving neighbors. Much like banking, personal connections and compassion in local healthcare makes all the difference. That’s why we are so pleased to support Memorial Hospital.”
Bank OZK participates in Georgia HEART, the statewide rural hospital organization expense tax credit program.
Lawmakers enacted the Georgia HEART program to encourage taxpayers throughout Georgia to learn more about the financial and other challenges rural hospitals face and to contribute to improve their financial condition and patient offerings.
“The generous contribution of $55,000 from Bank OZK will go a long way in supporting our mission of providing high quality, cost-effective healthcare, and promote wellness throughout our community,” stated James Lambert, Memorial Hospital and Manor Chief Executive Officer. “Bank OZK’s donation of $105,000 over the past two years allows us to make investments in people, technology and programs for positive health outcomes in Bainbridge and our surrounding market,” Lambert added.
According to David Edwards, Bank OZK Georgia President, Bank OZK is contributing a total of $360,000 to three rural Georgia Hospitals.
“Access to outstanding healthcare is essential to the quality- of-life for Georgia residents. We are fortunate to have rural hospitals throughout the state with dedicated and compassionate providers offering high quality medical services,” Edwards stated. “We are pleased the contributions from Bank OZK will allow for additional investments in technology, equipment and facility enhancements.”
Bank OZK has 67 offices in Georgia. In Bainbridge, there are locations at 226 S. Broad St. and1705 E. Shotwell St.
