Greg McDonald was found not guilty on two counts of Child Molestation, one count of Aggravated Sexual Battery and one count of Sexual Battery on Thursday after a two-day trial at the Decatur County Courthouse.

McDonald was arrested by Bainbridge Public Safety in February 2017 and charged with child molestation and aggravated sexual battery. He was later arrested in May 2017 on additional child molestation and sexual battery charges.

McDonald’s indictment in August 2017 stated he committed immoral and indecent acts against three children under the age of 16 on dates ranging from March 2011 to December 2016.

“Obviously we are disappointed,” said Joe Mulholland, District Attorney of the South Georgia Judicial Circuit. “At this point, we are heartbroken for the girls more than anything else. We will continue in our office to prosecute these kinds of cases to the fullest extent.”
