Weston Powell is one of our FFA members of the month for August.  Weston is the 16 year old son of Jule and Natasha Powell and is in the 11th grade at Bainbridge High School. He has been an active FFA member for the past four years. Weston has competed in numerous career development events such as Poultry Judging, Jr. Ag. Mechanics, Farm Business Management, and Jr. and Sr. Parliamentary Procedure. He has served on the Bainbridge Middle and Bainbridge High FFA Officer teams. Along with that, he helps out at the annual Chicken Que and Porkchop sale and attends all monthly meetings. Weston’s most memorable and funniest experience in his Ag. class is when a classmate of his fell while in an intense “broom kicking contest.” Everyone certainly got a laugh out of that! Weston has completed the Ag. Mechanics pathway at Bainbridge High School. In the future, Weston plans to attend UGA and obtain a degree in Agribusiness. A quote that really inspires him is “Every morning you have a choice, keep sleeping with your dreams or get up and chase them.” by Anonymous. We are all very excited to see what is in store for Weston.
