Following Hurricane Michael, Georgia Rotary District 6900 conducted a disaster relief fund that collected a total of $13,000. The decision was made by the district to divide the money among the 13 Rotary Clubs in Southwest Georgia—the area hardest hit by the hurricane.
The stipulation was that the money should be given to a non-profit organization that provided disaster relief to the public.
Bainbridge Rotary recently received $1000 and the decision was made to donate the money to Memorial Hospital and Manor for the various ways it cared for the public, providing shelter and food and other services.
