Robert E. “Bill” Sibley, Jr., 74, of Bainbridge, Ga., formerly of Greenville, Miss., passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019.

A celebration of life will be held at Bainbridge Country Club on Saturday, July 20 from 4-6 p.m. The family would love for you to come by and share a memory you have of Bill.

Robert E. “Bill” Sibley, Jr. was born January 2, 1945 in Helena, Arkansas, the son of Robert E. Sibley, Sr. and Ilene Mabry Sibley. He graduated from high school in Greenville, Miss. and retired as the Superintendent of the Water Maintenance Department in Greenville. Bill and his wife, Patricia, made the trek east to Southwest Georgia in 2000. Bill was an avid sportsman. When you think of Bill Sibley, one word comes to mind, GOLF.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Patricia Sibley; his children, Shay & Rife Stewart of Daphne, Ala., Beth & Wes Briggs of Bainbridge, Ga. and Robert E. Sibley III & Ligia, also of Bainbridge; his sister, Linda McMillon and her husband, Bobby, of Richland, Miss.; and his grandchildren, Savannah, Noah, Corey, Mabry-Grace and Emma. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his siblings, Margaret Laney and Eddie Sibley.
