Thursday morning girls ranging from Pre-k to rising fifth graders performed their loudest cheers and best tumbles for their parents and friends at the Little Girls Cheer Camp program.
Senior cheerleader, SK Wynn said the girls were divided into age categories and taught routines, two cheers and a stunt by the varsity cheerleaders. They also had the opportunity to meet the Bearcats mascot, Buddy and Bella.
“Their favorite part was meeting Buddy and Bella and getting to cheer with them,” Wynn said.
Wynn said most of the campers were new this year, but the turnout for the program was great and the girls performed well.
Cheer co- captain, Caroline Middleton also thought the girls did an excellent job.
Middleton said she has loved watching the kids grow into better cheerleaders throughout the week and it’s been one of her favorite parts.
“That’s the upcoming cheerleaders that will be on our team one day,” Middleton said.
All nine of the Varsity cheerleaders were in attendance and enjoyed spending time with the younger girls and watching them grow and show off their talents and skills they learned throughout the week at their final program.
