Edgar Houston “Buddy” Worsley

Mr. Buddy Worsley of Colquitt died Friday, May 31, 2019, at his residence. Graveside funeral services were Sunday, June 2, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Colquitt City Cemetery where Rev. Talmadge Worsley officiated.  Active pallbearers were Brandon Chambless, Bubba Chambless, Chris Jenson, Adam Worsley, Corey Moore, John Weaver, and Chance Chambless.

Mr. Buddy was owner of Floydtown Mall and a member of New Home Free Will Baptist Church. He loved fishing, golf, gardening and spending time with his family.

He is survived by one son, Allen (Alice) Worsley of Colquitt, Ga.; two daughters, Sandy (Ellis) Middleton of Colquitt, , and Beverley (David) Tucker of Bainbridge, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Brandon Chambless, Brandi Griffiss, Bubba Chambless, Chris Jensen, Brooke White, Adam Worsley and Corey Moore; 14 great grandchildren; seven brothers, Talmadge Worsley of Colquitt, , Henry Worsley of Colquitt, Steve Worsley of Colquitt, Roger Worsley of Colquitt, Jimmy Worsley of Arlington, Ga., Herman Worsley of  Delhi, La., and Wayne Worsley of Monroe, La.; two sisters, Gertrude Roberts of Colquitt, and Brenda Mahan of Woodstock, Ga.; and two special friends, Bernice Davis and Mona Gay. Mr. Buddy was preceded in death by his one daughter, April Kellie Worsley; one grandson, Ashley Worsley; parents, Douglas Eugene and Mamie Newberry Worsley; one brother, Doug Worsley, Jr.; and one sister, Betty Barnes.
