Brian Ramey

Brian was born on July 4, 1969 to Reverend James Leon Ramey and Pearlie Cox Ramey in Monroe, Walton County Georgia. He was preceded in death by his brother Marquis Ramey. His Christian life began at the early age of seven when he was baptized as a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Campton, Georgia. Brian graduated from Monroe Area High School in 1987 and enrolled in Albany State (College) University where he received a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice in 1991. Brian accepted the call to the Gospel Ministry in 2001 and joined the Eureka Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Bill Edge, Sr. He has served as pastor of New Corinth Missionary Baptist Church of Ellaville Georgia, Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Bainbridge, Georgia. Brian was employed by Albany State University, Senior Resources and Services, and at the time of his death he was employed by Dougherty County Board of Education at Harvey Elementary School. Brian held membership in several fraternal, local, state and educational organizations. He was a true humanitarian, sharing, serving, and providing help to any and all. He was a true friend to the community. Brian is survived by his parents: Reverend James Leon Ramey and Pearlie Cox Ramey; Brothers: Michael and Steven Ramey; Aunts: Janet Mitchell, Louise Close, Roxie Marshall (John) and Linda Hitchcock (Leon); Uncle: Willie Cox and a host of devoted cousins, friends and associates.
