Mrs. Sarah Frances Baxter, 85, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services for Mrs. Baxter were held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 30, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. Pastor Edward Seabrooks officiated. Mrs. Baxter was interred in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Stephen Eakin, Ron Howard, Michael Howard, Austin Howard, Charles King, and Logan Toliver served as pallbearers. The family received friends one hour before the service.

Sarah was born January 20, 1934 in Seminole County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, William Oscar Johnson, and mother, Mandy Irene Lynn Johnson.   Sarah was a devoted homemaker and mother. She was of the Pentecostal faith and loved being in church.

Sarah Baxter is survived by her children, Marsha Brewer and husband, Kenny of Bainbridge and William Cheyenne Pinion and wife, Vivian of Iron City, Georgia; son-in-law, Roy Howard; brothers, Allen Lamar Johnson of Bainbridge and Calvin Johnson; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Ann Marcine Howard and Maxine Eakin.
