Former Bearcat crowned triple jump national champion at Albany State

Cervantes Jackson (CJ) captured the NCAA Triple Jump National Championship last week.

This is the 3rd NCAA National Championship captured by Cervantes. In addition, Jackson broke the NCAA National Championship meet record.

Cervantes was back in action last Saturday as he strove to earn another national championship title in the high jump final.

Joshua Ajiero had a stellar performance, advancing to the 800-meters final. He finished the day with the top time of 1 minute and 52 seconds.

The Golden Rams 4×100 meter relay squad (Jarvis Mingo, Christopher Jackson, Cervantes Jackson and Clifford Russell) participated in the NCAA National Championship as well but did not advance to the finals. The dynamic group recorded a time of 41.22 seconds.
