Bearcat soccer handles business against Dooly County with 7-0 win

The Bainbridge Bearcats soccer team cruised to a 7-0 victory over the Dooly County Bobcats on Thursday, April 18th in Bainbridge at Centennial Field.

Angel Munoz opened the scoring early on in the 2nd minute after taking an assist from Stokes Moore.  Munoz scored another goal in the 6th minute following an assist from Mason Ard.  The lead was extended in the 9th minute to 3-0 when Cesar Chiguil scored after taking a pass from Tom Emmons.  Jose Avalo scored in the 23rd minute to make the Bearcat lead 4-0.  Joe Emmons added a goal in the 25th minute after taking an assist from Mason Ard.  Ard got into the scoring action himself in the 26th minute after taking an assist from Aiden Matthews.  The final goal of the match was scored in the 37th minute by Kendall Glover as the Bearcats closed out the match in dominant fashion from there.

All players on the Bearcat roster saw playing time during this match.  (Caleb Harris, Collin Morrison, Alex Soden, Tristan Brannan, Alfredo Rodriguez, Jesus Sanchez, Nix McIntosh, Adam Pascual, Matt Hall, Bryce Jones, Arkeavious Marshall, Luke Emmons, Ashton Matthews, Juan Escamilla, Garrett Sigman, Hunter Matthews, and Jabez Minnis all played.)

This match concluded the Bearcat season.  They finished well on a three match winning streak.  The team finished with a 10-7 overall record.  The Bearcats were competitive in each of their matches and provided moments of excitement throughout the season to fans in the stands whether they were victorious or not.  Although the Bearcats did not meet their goal of taking part in the state play-offs, they did meet their goal of having a winning season.  Coaches Rick Lewis and Jamie Ard feel that the team is making progress towards the success that the community expects and deserves, and they are looking forward to what next year has in store already.
