“Spring” into a more active lifestyle with the Decatur County Senior Center, where the goal is to provide social, physical, mental, spiritual, & emotional enrichment to the clients ages 60 and above. Activities include arts, crafts, gardening, light exercise, special speakers, weekly Bingo games, card games, and a whole lot of fun, says Center Director Debi Gardner.

Lunch is served at noon each weekday with reservation. Cost is $3.00 for clients and $5 for guests.

When seniors are asked what they like best about coming to the Sr. Center, the reply is almost always  “socializing.”

Gloria Simpson said she enjoys the company and especially playing Canasta. She has been attending for 12 years.

One couple, Raymond and Polly Placey are “snowbirds” who have been traveling to Bainbridge from New Hampshire each winter for ten years. They enjoy the socializing and said they learned about the Senior Center right away when they first came to town.

If transportation is a problem for anyone, the staff at Senior Center can help.

Center Director Debi Gardner invites seniors to drop by for a visit any time and pick up a calendar of monthly events. Hours:  M-F 8:30am-2:30pm   Located: 402 W Water Street

Some upcoming special events are:
