The Georgia Bandmasters Association is a non-profit professional organization composed of Band ensembles, Band Directors and was founded for the purpose of improving and promoting instrumental music in our schools.

This year the GBA concert festival will once again be hosted by the Decatur County Band Department, with all the county band directors providing student help and some equipment to ensure the festival is a success for all bands that will be attending.

The GBA was founded by former Bainbridge High Director of Bands Paschal Ward who now serves as the organizations Executive Director.

There are currently 29 bands scheduled to perform at this years event. The Festival will be held on March 7th and 8th 2019 at the Kirbo Center. The Bainbridge High School Symphonic Band, under the direction of Mr. James Sewell, The Bainbridge High Schoo Concert Band, under the direction of Mr. Will Parker, along with the Bainbridge Middle School Band under the direction of Mr. Will Parker and the Hutto Middle School Band under the director of Miss Jessica Light will be Decatur Counties bands to participate.

Adjudicators for this years event are Mr. Steve McLendon past Alabama Bandmasters President, Mr. Gary Taylor AMEA President and Mr. Randall Key from Hartselle, Alabama.
