Spring Arts Show winners announced

Thursday evening the Firehouse Arts Center saw many winners in the three divisions of exhibited arts, as well as a large crowd of attendees who enjoyed the Arts Council’s displays and the catered refreshments.

Best of Show was ‘White Forest’ by Bunny Jones, while the Peoples Choice award went to Lauren Turner for her photographic entry titled “Best Friends.”

Other winners in the photography division were: first place Lauren Turner for ‘Peaceful Morning’; second, Becky Bardin for ‘Come Sail Away with Me’; third, Sharon Foulk’s ‘Morning Light’ and honorable mention went to Jennifer Robbins for ‘Jumpin Jack Flash’.

In the two dimension group, in first place was Linda Sellars for ‘Pretty in Pink’; Evelyn Knight was second with ‘Shelfscape’; third was India Jernigan’s ‘Florida Wetland’’; and honorable mention went to Carol Ratliff for ‘Altha’.

Three dimension winners were: ‘Morning Chat’ a quilted wall hanging by Lyn Morales; “A Winding Road’ by James Lindsey; Lyn Morales also took third place with “Fleur Up Close” and honorable mention went to Sharon Foulk for ‘Sea Form.’
