Roselyn Lois Strickland Griffin, 67, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Johns officiating.  Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery with Charles Griffin, Audie Haire, Ron Botts, Brandon Draper, Jonas Lovering and Dale Sims serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 11:45 to 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Ivey Funeral Home. Roselyn Lois Strickland was born January 20, 1952, in Lansing, Mich., the daughter of Curtis and Larue Craft Strickland. Roselyn married Christopher Lee Pippins in 2015. She owned and operated Steel Magnolia Sandblasting & Painting. Roselyn was Baptist by faith.

Roselyn was a history buff especially intrigued with the Civil War era. She collected antique glassware and arrowheads she found on excursions. Roselyn enjoyed being outdoors tending flowers, fishing and searching for treasure such as those collectible arrowheads. She played the slot machines like a champ but her most favorite activities involved anything with Freya, the sunshine of her life.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Pippins; her son, Charles Griffin & Tara Lovell of Climax; her father, Curtis Strickland; her sister, Charlotte Sims and her husband, Dale, of Recovery; her granddaughter, Freya Griffin; her niece & nephew, Audie Haire and Erica Free McGrader; her great-nieces & nephews, Makayla Free Moody, Aaron McGrader, Lexie Haire, Matthew Haire and Kate Haire. Roselyn was preceded in death by her mother, Larue Craft Strickland.
