Registration is now open for Georgia River Network’s Paddle Georgia 2019, a week-long canoe/kayak/paddleboard journey on the Withlacoochee and Suwannee rivers set for June 15-21.
This is the largest week-long group paddle adventure in the country. Paddle Georgia ventures on a different Georgia river each year and is suited for paddlers of all skill levels and ages. The trip features nightly camping, catered meals, educational programs and multiple opportunities to explore, relax on and learn about Georgia’s rivers.
This year, Georgia River Network celebrates its 15th Paddle Georgia with a journey down the Withlacoochee and Suwannee rivers from Valdosta, Georgia to near Mayo, Florida, a distance of about 92 miles. It marks the first time in the history of the event that paddlers will cross over into a neighboring state.
Registration for the event opened Feb. 7 at 8 a.m.
