The annual Polar Bear Tournament, sponsored and hosted by Coach Amy Thomas’s BHS tennis team, will be held this Saturday, February 2 at Bill Reynolds Sports Park. Play is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.

The first Polar Bear Tournament was organized in 1998 and has remained a popular winter sports event for this community and also for players from surrounding towns. The competition draws players of all ages and ability, and tennis fans as well.

This years Polar Bear Tournament promises to be another great year of competition and fellowship. BHS Coach Amy Thomas says “this is a great opportunity for the Bearcat team to give back to the community that supports them through sponsorship of the tournament. I think it’s important for kids to give their time and be a part of organizing and hosting this event. It’s just a great experience for them.”
