GEORGIA FORESTRY COMMISSION will host a meeting Tuesday, January 22 at 7 p.m. in the Miller County High School Cafeteria, Colquitt, Ga., for forest landowners who sustained damage to their land from Hurricane Michael. GFC will discuss two state relief packages available for Georgia Landowners and provide guidance about applying for state assistance to salvage their forest lands. GFC will facilitate a discussion about two landowner programs available: the Forest Debris Management Program and the Forest Access Road and Firebreak Restoration Project.
