Charles Alexander Eubanks, 69, of 1020 Meadow Ridge Drive, Bainbridge, Ga., passed away at his residence on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. His funeral will be held Sunday, December 2, 2018, at the Chapel of Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Rev. Keith Gaines officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery, Edison, Ga. with Lee, Lance, Auston, Mason and Perry Birdsong, Scott Bailey, John West and David Cheshire serving as pallbearers. A Celebration of Life will be held at his residence on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
He was a member of Edison Baptist Church, and he worked as a paramedic for 40 years with the Dougherty County and Lee County EMS. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. Mr. Eubanks was born October 5, 1949, in Edison, to the late Cecil Marcine Eubanks and Clara Rish Eubanks Collier of Edison. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a sister Teresa Ann Hudson.
His survivors include his mother, Clara Rish Eubanks Collier of Edison; his wife; Lori Lane Eubanks of Bainbridge, one son, Chris Eubanks (Amanda) of Leesburg, Ga., and one daughter; Jeana Murphy (Chris) of Prattville, Ala.; two sisters; Marsha Archibeque (Larry) of Bradford, Fla. and Peggy Livingston (Lon) of Sylvester, Ga.; one brother; Jimmy Eubanks (Dianne) of Edison. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Mikayla Eubanks, Makenzie Lacey and Gavin Lacey all of Leesburg.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to the: Mexico Beach Strong, Thomasville National Bank, 301 North Broad Street, Thomasville, GA 31792 to the attention of Olivia Sanders, or to the Bainbridge/Decatur Co. Humane Society, 1250 Cox Avenue, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
