Wesley Randal Martin

Wesley Randal Martin, 63, of Smithville, Ga., died November 8, 2018, at his residence.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Leesburg.  Rev. Bobby Harrell will officiate.  A private family interment will follow in the Leesburg Cemetery.

A native of Bainbridge, Ga. born to the late Wesley and Mary Jo Martin, Randal graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1973.  He moved to Sumter County, Ga. in 1980 and then to Lee County, Ga. in 1988.  Randal was a farmer, was involved in agriculture all of his life and received various awards for his accomplishments. Randal was a member of The First Baptist Church of Leesburg where he served as a Deacon and along with his wife, taught the 1st Grade Sunday School Class for twelve years.

Survivors include his wife, Tina J. Martin of Lee County, two daughters and their husbands, Brooke and Brett Smith of Lakeland, Ga. and Kelcie and Kevin Jack of Lee County; a sister and her husband, Sue and Jed Tillery of Bainbridge, and one grandchild, Briggs Smith.

Randal was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Martin, and a brother, Ronnie Martin.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 12th at Mathews Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm.
