Bainbridge cross-country gives all at state meet

Last Friday six girls from the cross-country team went to Carrollton, Georgia where they competed in the GHSA state cross country championships.

Sophomore, Viviana Schuyler stole the show. She came in 16th place with a time of 20:38.18 out of 199 participants. Schuyler was less than a minute under second place winner, Gabby Parson, who had a time of 19:47.03.

Freshmen, Raidyn Oliver and Kayla Braswell also competed and placed 183 and 188 respectively. Oliver had a time of 29:32.48, while Braswell held a time of 31:15.36.

Sophomores, Olevia Diaz and Katelyn Miller finished up right behind their classmates with a time of 32:20.04 and 34:01.36. Senior Makayla Ingram took her final run of the season on the course and finished with a time of 35:04.49.

Overall, the team had a successful season and showed off the speed they have gained this year at the championships.
