Cordelia Cantley Elkins Bynum

Cordelia Cantley Elkins Bynum, age 75 of Oakwood, Ga., formerly of Bainbridge, passed away on Thursday, November 08, 2018 at New Horizons Lanier Park.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Bynum was born October 3, 1943, in Brinson, Georgia, to Virgle Cantley and Annie Laura Urer Cantley. She was retired as a CNA with the Visiting Nurses Association. She had a caring soul and was always willing to assist those in need. Mrs. Bynum was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ledon Elkins and her second husband, James Bynum.

Mrs. Bynum is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Melissa Elkins of Oakwood; granddaughters and spouses, Laura and Darrell King of Bainbridge and Leah and Adam Bane of Nashville, Tenn.; sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Carroll McClendon of Bainbridge; sister, Catherine Olivent of Faceville, Ga..
