Southwest GYSTC Center will celebrate 30 years of promoting interest in science, technology, engineering and Math for K-8 teachers and students by promoting a community wide STEM Night on Tuesday, November 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Kirbo Center. This is in celebration of 30 years of GYSTC empowering students for STEM careers, and is free to all surrounding counties.

In addition, Tammy Nowell, regional coordinator says they will provide 300 pulled pork plates on a first come first served basis to support people in the community that have been impacted by Hurricane Michael, as well as to honor and appreciate all of the linemen and first responders who are helping to restore power and keep the community safe. Nowell says, “This is family event and their families are welcome as well.”

They will feature several interactive STEM tables and local STEM careers as well as higher education informational tables.  RSVP to 229-243-6073 or to Tammy.Nowell@abac.edu by November 1, 2018.
