Juanita “Tiny” Newberry Lunger, 88, of Attapulgus, Ga., passed away Monday, October 1, 2018.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. E.W. Mitchell officiating.

Nancy Juanita Newberry was born February 23, 1930, in Newton, Ga., the daughter of Sam Newberry and Minnie Adel Cleveland Newberry. She retired after many years of service as a seamstress from Rob & Stucky. Mrs. Lunger was a member of First Baptist Church, North Ft. Myers.
Juanita loved growing flowers and tending to her yard. She was a real “people person” that enjoyed her work. Her family will always remember how she loved life.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Sloan of Attapulgus, and Mary Nell Ritter of Cairo, Ga.; her siblings, Laverne Cook of Baconton, Ga., Shirley N. Gibson and her husband, Raymond, of Leesburg, Ga., Nadine N. Sheasly and her husband, Russ, of Pennsylvania, and Carlton Newberry and his wife, Jennie, of Baconton, Ga.; her grandchildren, Katie, Terry, Amy, Jenna, Emily, and Bryson; and her great-grandchildren, Jamie, Kori, Hanna, Tyler, Shannon, Hailee, Abigail, Terry, Owen, Stella, and Evie. In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Paul William Lunger; her son, Leonard Lunger; her brothers, Lamar “Buddy” Newberry and Marvin Newberry; her grandchildren, Lisa Sloan and Richard Sloan; and her great-granddaughter, Lisa Corine Minchin.
