Golf event raises money for Alzheimer’s

A Golf to End Alzheimer’s event was held at the Bainbridge Country Club last Friday, where local golfers helped raise money for research and to raise awareness of the disease.

The event raised roughly $4,500.

“We were very happy with the support of this tournament,” said Rob McRae, tournament organizer and Edward Jones representative. “We look forward to making it bigger and better next year.

Sponsors for the event were Inland, Shaw, Edward Jones and Stone’s. McRae thanked the sponsors for their support and encouraged everyone to take part in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s event in the Willis Park square on Saturday, Oct. 20.

“This community has been great supporting the Walk to end Alzheimer’s and this tournament,” said McRae.
