Country music star Luke Bryan made an announcement Wednesday afternoon via Instagram that made Southwest Georgia residents cheer and feel the love. Bryan, Phillip Phillips, Cole Swindell, the Peach Pickers and DJ Rock announced they will be holding a Heart of South Georgia concert on Oct. 3.

Bryan’s post read, “In 2017 South Georgia was devastated by a tornado and the community came together and responded with heart. Now myself, Phillip Phillips, Cole Swindell, The Peach Pickers and DJ Rock are heading home to support the continued relief efforts. I’m so thankful to call this area home and can’t wait to see y’all.”

Bryan is originally from Leesburg, Georgia, and has been supportive in the community’s efforts to restore what was damaged during the tornado. All of the proceeds raised from the concert will be donated to the Heart of South Georgia Fund to support the ongoing natural disaster relief efforts as well as other needs within the community.
