Bank OZK has announced a $50,000 contribution to Memorial Hospital and Manor in Bainbridge, Georgia.
“Bank OZK recognizes the value Memorial Hospital provides to our community. The high-quality healthcare for which they are known is essential to the economic vitality of Decatur County. Providing our residents access to quality care close to home allows us to attract and retain businesses in Decatur County, and the hospital itself is a major employer of quality jobs,” stated Frank Posey, Bank OZK South Georgia/East Alabama Division President. Posey added, “As a bank with strong roots to the community, we understand the importance of neighbors serving neighbors. Much like banking, personal connections and compassion in local healthcare makes all the difference. That’s why we are so pleased to support Memorial Hospital.”
Bank OZK participated in Georgia HEART, the statewide rural hospital organization expense tax credit program. Lawmakers enacted Georgia HEART to encourage taxpayers throughout Georgia to learn more about the financial and other challenges rural hospitals face and to contribute to improve their financial condition and patient offerings.
“On behalf of Memorial Hospital and Manor, I would like to thank Bank OZK for their dedication to rural healthcare in our community,” said Chief Executive Officer Jim Lambert. “Bank OZK has shown its commitment to Bainbridge and Decatur County, and this gift will allow us to better serve the needs of our patients. We are thankful for the many individuals and corporations who are taking part in this program,” Lambert added.
According to David Edwards, Bank OZK Georgia President, Bank OZK is contributing a total of $360,000 to four rural Georgia Hospitals including Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.
