Betty Ann Mock was born March 19, 1939, in Colquitt, Ga., the daughter of Lonnie A. Mock and Lucy Sheffield Mock. She was a graduate of West Bainbridge High School. Betty married Milton Rogers Braswell and they made their home in Brinson. She was a member of Cedar Springs Pentecostal Church.

Betty was a woman of faith who dearly loved her church and church family. She enjoyed shopping and spent many dollars on that pair she “needed”. Her family, especially those granddaughters & Brayden, were the sunshine in the storm for her. Known affectionately as “Bubba” for more than three decades, no one doubted that she would fight for everything she wanted. The girls give full credit to “Bubba” for their sassiness and strong will.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Milton Braswell; her siblings, Lucy Dukes of Jacksonville, Fla., B. O. Mock of Colquitt; her grandchildren, Bridget & Stephen, Stephanie & Patrick, and Chelsy & Josh; her great-grandson, Brayden; a special sister-in-law; and her fur baby, Maddie. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her children, Beverly Braswell, Roger Braswell and Debby Braswell; and her siblings, Imogene, Clara Lee, Faith, Ray, Laverne, Fay and an infant brother.
