Gymnast-a-Cats put on spectacular show at National Championship meet

The Bainbridge Gymnast-a-Cats had an awesome meet at the National Gymnastics Championship. Anniston Brown scored a perfect 10 on the bars. Coach Melynda Murkerson said all the coaches from all over the United States were talking about the little girl with the big routine. Anniston’s 10 was the only perfect score out of 2,000 gymnasts competing in the National Meet.
The Cats winning streak continued with three girls winning Top Honors with First Place All-Around Gold Medal Routines – Ashna Vickers, Bailey Nunnery, and Emily Engram.
Bailey won three Gold Medals. Ashna won two Gold Medals. Emily Engram won three Gold Medals.
Silver National Champs were Kara Overman, Dhara Patel, Kaylee Klesko, and Bansi Patel. Dhara also won first place on floor exercise. Kara placed 2nd on Bars, third on Balance Beam. Kaylee placed first on Bars and third place on Balance Beam and Floor.
Anna Claire Mock won first place on Floor and fourth all-around. Beth Nunnery placed third on Vault, third on Beam and sixth all-around.
Bronze National Champ All-Around was Anniston Brown.
Aubrey Phillips placed 2nd on the floor and 5th All-Around.
Lauren Godwin placed 7th All-Around.
Marbella Rich, Platinum Division, placed 2nd on Beam and 4th All-Around.
Jaylah Florence placed 7th All-Around.
Anna Carnes placed 9th All-Around.
Beverly Smith placed 7th All-Around.
